The hotel was a good value for what we paid. There were two areas that could be improved though. First, you can hear just about everything in your room. We constantly heard people keying into their rooms, doors shutting and people talking. We were on the 44th floor and it sounded like people were outside our window(very loud). If you don't like noise, this probably isn't the best place to stay. Also, housekeeping comes fairly early(around 8 am), but they don't mind coming back if you're not ready for them to clean. The other area was the smell in the lobby. As soon as we walked into the hotel there was a distinct odor; I have no idea what it was, but it wasn't the most pleasant thing to smell. Overall, it was a good place to stay. The staff were friendly and gave good suggestions on places to go. It's in a great location too; you can't beat it! It's a great place to visit...lots to see and do!

Very nice hotel. Hotel was best placed to reach all attractions and in walking distance. Hotel has pool on 8th floor but has limited number of desk chairs. Our room was very close to the lifts and found out to our cost it was very loud during the night. Best to get a room away from the lift area. World War 2 Museum excellent. Although signage states Mardi Gras is on the Algiers side of the river it has moved behind the Convention building.

The Shertaon was a perfect hotel for our 4 day trip to New Orleans. We were there on pleasure, so the location of the hotel was great - walking distance to everything you could need, want to see or do. Our room was nice, not dirty like other travelers had complained about, and the check in process went smoothly. We arrived at 6:30pm and went straight to our room. The elevators are slow. We didn't ever eat at the hotel since there are so many great places nearby, but we did visit the Starbucks in the lobby. The concierge was helpful too and gave us a very useful map of the area. I would definitely stay again if I came back to the area and would recommend it to anyone coming here as a tourist.

Warning to everybody, there is no continental breakfest and there is $31 charge for parking. The lobby is very nice unfortunatlly that is not were i slept. My room needs to be redone i have not seen any other rooms in this hotel but my room had pieces of popcorn ceiling falling off and paint was terrible and much unfinished. Bathtub was discusted needs to be replaced. Furniture were old and had this smell in the room when you open the cabinet to watch TV or grab anything out of the fridge that was stocked with snacks and drinks. Check the contest of your mini bar against a paper so they don't charge you for food or drinks that you never had. Also one day i came back from the field and there was less snacks then i had nigh before and i didn't take anything. Bed was very comfortable and the linears nice and soft. The view through the window was awesom.

Enjoyed my second stay at the Sheraton, NOLA this year. Despite being very busy, the service was excellent. Enjoy the relaxed atmosphere and gorgeous sunrise in the Club Lounge each morning. Quiet rooms and decent fitness center make for a great stay, I just wish the pool had a whirlpool.
