Annual girls trip from west coast to east coast with BFF. Took the redeye so we arrived early am. checked in thinking we could leave bags, but was able to upgrade to 37th floor suite for minimal $$ and check in right away. The suite was great, living room, kitchen, bedroom with 2 beds, big bathroom and closet area. And fabulous veiw of the city and the Chrysler building. Great location. Barking Dog resteraunt next door was very good, market on the corner, Starbucks 1 1/2 blocks up right before the subway. Everyone of the staff that we dealt with was extremely friendly and helpful. Over all we had 5 fabulous days in the city. Would highly recommend the Affinia Dumont and cant wait to go back next year.

Excellent, friendly, helpful staff. They hailed cabs for us, suggested restaurants.T he front desk clerk put our minds at ease since we were a bit apprehensive in the big city. Superb location on 34th, between Lexington and 3rd Ave. with its phenomenal selection of restaurants. We had a Monday night special of lobster for $* at a sports bar. Unsurpassed. We wish we could go again next week!

After much research on the internet and reading other Travel online reviews, we chose the Affinia Dumont. We booked on nothing more than their website and Travel online information. We were so pleased. The Affinia is in a great neighborhood, not too busy but not super quiet. My sixteen year old daughter and I could find places to eat, see movies and hop on the subway quickly. The staff was quick to help us figure out anything we needed. At the hotel, you have pillow choices and my daughter was thrilled with her I pod pillow. Listening to her music all night was great. Our view from our room was excellent (35th floor). The Barking Dog restaurant next door had great chicken fingers. The Murray Hill Diner around the corner had great breakfast and The Murrray Hill Deli was great for drinks, cookies and afternoon sandwiches. At first we were scared of the subway, but by the end of the vacation, we were pros. We saw so much of New York and had a great place to rest when we returned to the hotel. A hotel choice can make or break your vacation. The Affinia totally made our vacation great. I would defintiely stay again!!

Was in great location. Staff was very helpful and accommodating. Grocery store nearby on corner. Restaurant was good with abundant servings of very good food. Would advise to take your own coffee to make in room-instead of paying $* per cup.

Stayed 5 nights for first visit to NYC. We Loved the location, not in touristy area, great deli on corner- Barking Dog restaurant downstairs, intimate place to eat with very good food. Small outdoor patio seating, everything convinient. Little kitchen for snacks and cooking breakfast. Stocked up at Murray Hill deli and had plenty in room. We got lower level 3rd floor and loved the room, lots of windows, comfortable beds perfect place to nest for a few days. Spa is cozy and great for first day visit. Get A, she is great for neck and head massage. Nice place to chill and unwind after a long trip. Times Square and all you need to see not far. Staff is great, especially the doormen-- they are very helpful. Love to just stand outside and people watch, places to eat everywhere. If your going to NYC for the first time-- book this place early.
