The hotel is small by "American" standards but it is perfect and clean. The staff were great and when we needed anything they were quick to accomodate. It is located near the tube, shopping, and good places to eat. I would highly reccomend that anyone travelling to London purchase an Oyster Card. The only downfall is that there is not free WIFI.

We recently stayed here for six nights. The good - The room was clean. Housekeeping did a great job each day. We had a room on the very end (2120) so it was very quiet. The bed was comfortable. Very close to Westfield Mall, one of Londons newest and largest malls. Easy walk and right at the Sheppard's Bush tube station. The not so good - Room was very small (probably fairly normal for London hotels.) No bath tub. Breakfast was not including in my reservation through Travelocity. Most rooms came with breakfast included. The cost of the breakfast buffet was very high . It is a good buffet, but not worth that price. While close to the tube station it was a fairly long ride to the attractions of central London. It is in a mostly residential area, so not a lot to do at night and not a great many restaurant options. Internet service is expensive.

The hotel was okay, just okay. The bathroom was not clean -- hair everywhere. The toilet would not flush unless I held down the float to fill the tank all the way up. And we were always hot. We had the air on full blast, but it would not get cool in there. Otherwise, it was great. The staff was wonderful and very helpful, especially the concierge and the Doorman. The food was very expensive and we wished they had complimentary coffee, at least. We really wish we had been able to stay somewhere with complimentary breakfast. That would really have been helpful with expenses. Most of the other hotels had that, but not ours. They would implement that into their packages.

My husband and I went to London for a long weekend and stayed at the Hilton Kensington because of a good rate we found online. We normally stay outside of London so this was our first time to stay in the city. The Hilton turned out to be a great location. The tube stop is only about a 5 minute walk from the hotel and there's a bus stop right in front of the hotel. It's also about a 5 minute walk from Westfield shopping center, where we ate dinner a couple of nights. The rooms were small, but well appointed. Check-in was fast and easy. Our rate included breakfast and after reading on here, I expected we'd have to wait each day, but that was not the case--we were seated at a table immediately each morning. Overall It was a great place to stay and I'd definitely recommend it to others.

Just completed a stay that totalled - including a weekend away in the country - two weeks. And I have to say it was a great choice. Of course, if you arrive at 9 a..m. from your transocean flight and checkout is 11, there's a chance there won't be a room available. So stash your luggage and go for a walk or bus ride! And yes, the rooms are small, by North American standards, but no smaller than comparable London hotels, and - at least they are clean, well sound-insulated, and everything works! Location couldn't be better: True, it's not dead-center in London, but you're in a real London neighborhood, only a short walk from the Shepherd's Bush tube (10 minutes to Oxford Street, max.) and - even better - several bus routes into central London stop right at the hotel door! (We used our Oyster Card on the busses and got a free tour of London with every ride!) Plenty of local restaurants - both at the sumptuous Westfield shopping center and (in the opposite direction) along Holland Park Avenue. Best of all: The breakfasts (included with our room, and easily worth ?15 per person) - I have never seen a buffet to rival it: Made-to-order omelettes, fried eggs, scrambled eggs, yogurts, fresh fruit (pears, melon, orange slices, and more), porridge and dry cereals, pancakes, sausages, fried tomatoes, croissants, wholewheat breads, smoked salmon, cheeses, and more. We simply snaffled rolls, apples and some cheese from the buffet and rarely had to buy lunch! Lukacz, the maitre d', makes sure you get your coffee or tea, plus choice of juice, delivered within seconds of your being seated. (One complaint: An overly-soft mattress in our second - post weekend - room: No biggie.) We'll be back for sure!
