Everything at the hotel was perfectly fine with the exception of no ifree internet access. Charges ranged from $6.00/hour to $19.95/day, which I found excessive, but I guess not unusual. Accomodations were very clean, service was very good. Htoel has huge lobby if you're meeting friends, with sandwich/pastry/snack service and Sushi restaurant in lobby along with bar, and casino on first floor. Casino can get crowded some nights, and slots predominate. Could use more table games. Bar drinks were pricey, but, again, customary.

Our trip was scheduled at a bad time, The pool was being renovated, the one set of elevators on our side of the hotel was being renovated so we had to walk around to the other side of the building. The ocean was Amazing, so not having a pool wasn't a big issue. We had an all inclusive package and overall I was not happy with it. Each time we ordered something, we had to ask if it was available to the all inclusive plan, the alcoholc drinks had to be "House" quality. I would go back to Aruba OVER and OVER again, because it is an absolutely stunning place, but I think I would have to think about where I stayed.

We recently stayed at the Marriott and we did not have a great experience. The hotel and staff seemed very cold and unwelcoming. The communication was very difficult between us and the activities desk. Everytime we had a question about an activity we booked, they connected us to the acitivity location rather than helping us. The grounds were beautiful but that is about it. There was alot of construction going on and only two out of the four elevator banks were operating, which meant we had to take the stairs often.

The hotel was very nice! They were still remodeling and working on the elevators while I was there. Only one bank of elevators was working, so I just used the stairs most of the time. Looked like all of he remodeling would be done soon. The hotel staff was very friendly and always went out of their way to help. Seriously, everyone at the hotel was very helpful. The entire hotel property was clean and well taken care of. I highly recommend the property!

My husband and I travel every December to stay at the Marriott Surf Club. The rooms are beautiful and clean. The pool is great with a swim up bar. They have also added the Lazy River right next to the pool. Just hop in! It gently pulls you along. Very relaxing. If you prefer the beach they relax on a lounger and enjoy the ocean or do one of the many activities offered like jet skiing, para sailing etc. There are several restaurants and of course the Casino to enjoy right on the premises. You also can walk to the shopping strip next to the Marriott and Holiday INN. They have added a whole shopping mall and there are also vendors selling things from carts outside. For major shopping you need to take a cab to Oranjestad. Overall it's a great place to stay.
