We stayed in one of the garden view renovated cottages. I'm not sure how they could call the room renovated, they certainly didn't bother to put in a new mattress, I could feel all of the springs coming through! I did not expect such a substandard mattress. I ended up sleeping on top of the duvet and covering myself with a sheet. When I brought this to the attention of the front desk, I was told the hotel was full, and perhaps they could change the mattress. No one bothered to follow up. I very much doubt that I would risk staying at this resort again.

This is a lovely hotel until you try to check out. Upon check out I found over $100 in charges for a minibar that I had never even opened! They took the charges off of my account, but when I got my credit card statement they had put them back on. THEN, three months later I received another $105 charge from this hotel for a ""service"" fee that I had not been charged. Sorry, it's a nice hotel but I will NEVER stay here again.

We choose Elbow Beach for our 20th anniversary get away because of its proximity to the ocean beach, room with a balcony overlooking the ocean, and general central location on the island. We were not disappointed on any of these features. The beautiful sunny, sandy beach with free umbrellas, chaise lounges, and towels is a short 5 min walk from the hotel which is on a hill. The hotel provides a shuttle back and forth, but we didn't need it. Anyone with a mobility issue would want to talke the shuttle. Water was blue, Blue, BLUE and seasonlly warm. We ate at two of the hotel restaurants. We had lunch at Mickey's the first day. It's right on the beach and is open air. Don't expect any bargain restaurants in Bermuda. Lunch cost us $75 incl tip for a couple salads a drinks. We also ate at Lido. This is another restaurant located near the beach. We really enjoyed this dinner. The food was excellent and the wait staff was very attentive. This hotel is located on the south shore of the island. There is a bus stop at the hotel driveway which is very convenient. Hamilton is about 8 mins away by bus. We didn't get to St. Georges, but I would guess the ride is close to an hour. My wife and I enjoyed our 4 day get away very much. The true testament to any experience is if you would do it again. Without doubt, we will visit Bermuda and Elbow Beach Hotel again. We'll start saving our dimes right now.

Beautiful hotel with great service. My teenage son and I stayed here for spring break. We stayed in one of the hillside cottages down from the pool. It was very private and quiet as well as convenient to the pool and beach area. We were there during the off season so there were not a lot of people around. We found food choices to be limited especially in the evening. Found the bus/ferry pass to be the best and most economical mode of transportation. Generally had meals off the property while we were out and about during the day. There is a small grocery store not far from the property so we stocked up on snacks and drinks to enjoy in the room. Breafast was also very expensive, so we kept muffins and fruit in the room to start the day. There was a small refrig in our room that housed the mini bar that we were able to use to refrigerate our personal drinks etc. The location of the hotel is great! Able to get to both ends of the island very easily as well as go in town to Hamilton. I felt very safe there. Stores and businesses close at 5:00 so we tried to get out and about early so we could return and use the beach and pool in the warmest part of the day (afternoon). Elbow Beach is private for use of hotel guests only and from what I saw it was the most beautiful beach on the island. We had lounges and umbrellas provided along with towel service and uniformed attendants. There are 3 restaurants on the beach. We ate at one of them. The food was good but pricey! Gratuity is automatically added to bill.

From the minute we checked in, we were very pleased with everything. The room was awesome and staff was very helpful. The food in the hotel and the room service was excellent. This is the only place to stay in Bermuda.
