For the price and the location you can't beat staying at the Imperial Palace. Not the best decorated hotel or the cleanest but I would stay there again for the money and everyone was nice and polite. The buffet and Betty's Diner had the best food, specially Betty's chocolate cake, it was to die for. And the casino floor was never empty a lot of people playing tables, slots, etc.

I booked a room for two of my friends as a gift. We upgraded to a "nicer" room as well. It was in the basement, smelled of mold, was plain and ugly like a "by the hour" motel 6. Honestly, a Motel 6 would have been a much better choice. The entire hotel is dirty and falling apart. For the money, i would highly suggest a cheap motel instead. Their room actually had a dirty bathtub and cigarrette butts in the ashtrays. I was really disappointed. We didn't even want to stay and gamble there it was so gross. Read the other reviews, I'm not the only one :)

Our experience at the Imperial Palace was not a good one. We checked in and the line was very long, and there was only two (2) hotel staff working the front desk. After about a 25 min wait to check in we got to our room to find a old and very poorly maintained room, permenent stains in the carpet, very unkept bathroom, no sink or shower drain stops very worn sink and bathtub. Wanted to exchange room right then, but we had a tour we had to make, so had to wait until next day, beds were too soft, mattreses had to be 20 yrs old. The next mornong i went to exchamge or room for another, again another long wait and again only two (2) staff members at front desk. When i fanally was helped i was told the hotel was booked and no other rooms were available, Then i was asked what my room number was and i told her, she then went to her manager's 0ffice came back and siad that there was a room availiable for $20.00 more per nite. I felt i should have just been moved based on the condition of the last room. But wanting a better room i accepted the offer. we did get a better room but everthing at this hotel seems very old. the only thing this hotel has going for it is it's location. and it seems they know that also. beware of room 515

It basically was ok, no major complaints...I would just pick a different hotel next time. Its just getting a little run down...looks a little worn. I would definetly pick something more upscale for my next visit. Price was great though.

When checking out on Sunday it took more than 45 minutes to be able to get on an elevator to reach the lobby. As we stayed on the 10th floor and had a large suitcase taking the stairs was not an option.
