Great location, very comfy bed, very good staff for cleaning. Only negative was with the front desk personnel . We were given a key for a "stocked refrigerator" only to find it empty. When asked about it, we were briskly told they do not stock anymore. Our friends who traveled with us found that there empty refrigerator did not work. When asked about it, they were briskly told that they will not fix it because they do not stock them anymore. No big issue, but do not give out the keys if that is the case.

Overall the stay was a good experience. The rooms were clean and well maintained while the staff was very courteous. Throughout my stay there were only three issues: (1) Fire alarm went off at 1am and while we were allowed back into our rooms we were never informed as to the reason why the alarm went off, (2) During the first 5 days of our stay we had great housekeeping service but on the day before we were to leave a different maid came to clean our room as we were leaving and when we returned we found that our bags had been searched and some small souvenirs were missing, and (3) they mistook my niece for an older child because of her height and made me pay the adult rate ($20) for her to eat breakfast

Had to wait in line for check in, clerk was friendly enough. No self parking available($20), had to pay $40 for valet..too expensive. There is an outside lot down the st. for $ day if one doesn't mind the walk. Had 2 double beds for the 3 of us. No Queen size available in the 2 bed rooms. Room was set up for only 2, tho I'd paid extra for the 3rd person. More towels, glasses, etc. were brought right up. Lighting is VERY dim in the shower area. Ice machine was out of order on our floor and I needed to ice my knee daily,so that was an inconvenience. There was dried blood on our bed cover from another patron. There was an in room fridge, but it wasn't hooked up..the desk clerk referred to it as a "cooler" but said not to put perishables into it(?)Very strange. Our room had a sofa and outside balcony that overlooked the lake and that was very nice.We didn't dine there as coffee was $.and pancakes $$.No paper outside our door either day, but one was found for us. It's a good location, as we walked to the Rogers Ctr.

I only stayed here very briefly, arriving late at night and leaving early the next day, but was wowed by the balcony room that I had south tower, 6th floor. It looked like there are only a few of these rooms. It was large with great views of the harbour and I really enjoyed my 10 minute coffee break on my private balcony. The heavenly bed is always a treat and makes it much harder to get up in the morning.

Stayed in Toronto 6/29 to 7/3/09 family of 3, my stay was as follows: Hotel front desk: Most of the people were friendly but some were not specially the lady that checked us in, I asked for a room away from stairs and elevators but she put us in a room near the stairs. When exchanging money they exchange at 1.03 for a US$1 instead of 1.15 the outside the street average. Hotel will nickle and dime you & charge you for anything and everything. Ask for forks and knives to brought to the room and they charged us $2.50 just to bring them...yikes!..oh by the way we are preferred guests with Starwood. Concierge: Great people very friendly very nice and very helpful...kudos to them and the way they treat people...special thanks to X for making reservations for us!...well done! Valet/Porters: Not friendly and very uninterested in guests at all....not even a hello or how are you? These people are in the wrong job...we arrived and they did not even offer to help us with the luggage or anything! Unless you need a taxi they won't talk to you or acknowledge! No a smile on their faces and no nothing ...very displeasing experience with them. Room: Small beds, bathroom fixtures leaking and need fixing. Room not vacuum everyday..amenities very poor. Never saw the housekeeper at all and toiletries...very limited in quantities. Breakfast & restaurants: Too expensive...we had breakfast at Ccocberry's everyday, the hotel wanted to charge $18.00 per person for breakfast..we found a lot of people from the hotel in cocoberry's...breakfast for 3 including tips..$30.00
