This is a lovely small hotel in the heart of the vibrant Robson/ Westend area of Vancouver. It is very comfortable and clean. Has a upscale feel and a very responsive staff. We spent two nights there and loved it. We are from Seattle and make frequent weekend trips for fun to Vancouver so we have stayed in lot of different places. It is in a great part of town with lots to do and it feels very safe to walk at any time of day in this part of town. Plenty of great shopping and restaurants at your doorstep. I would definitely stay here again and would recommend it highly to others.

After searching for a quick trip to Vancouver and making last minute plans, we found a reasonable rate at the Listel. We originally wanted to stay near Stanley Park, but prices of hotels were either too high or sketchy. The Listel is located near all the shops, my teenagers loved that, and the hotel was clean and the valet and front desk were helpful. I would defiantely recommend this hotel to a friend.

  • Location-wise but expensive

Its located on the busiest robson street. good for night activities but might not good for those who are looking for peace.

After a flight across the country to Seattle and a 4 hour drive up to Vancouver, being greeted by the staff at this unique boutique hotel was a wonderful relief. The staff was helpful, friendly, and informative. We were also pleased to find out that after having booked a Museum floor room, we had been upgraded to a Gallery floor room.

This artistic hotel has designated each floor with its own theme. There are standard rooms, Museum floor rooms, Gallery floor rooms, and the Artist Series Suites floors. Each room displays original art

We entered our Gallery floor room and found it spacious, light, and airy. A welcome addition was a window seat that served as a warm place to read in a moment of down-time. The bathroom consisted of a true water closet with a tub and a toilet in their own room with a sink right outside the door. The beds were incredibly comfortable and afforded us a couple of nights of very restful sleep. On the Gallery floors, the Listel offers complimentary in-room coffee or tea service each morning. One morning we ate at the hotel?s restaurant, O?Doul?s. While the food was good, it was very over-priced for the offerings. I would recommend exploring the city to find a better deal and better food.

The hotel is situated right in the heart of downtown Vancouver. It is a short walk to Stanley Park as well as Yaletown, Gastown, Canada Place, and so much more. If you shy away from the chain hotels in search of a hotel with a distinctive style, this is your hotel.

The website for the Listel Hotel made me think that the works of art throughout the building would make for a memorable visit. However, I was disappointed to discover that the building was not especially unique and that the works of art were sprinkled through the building more as an afterthought. The location was nice, as the front door opens to Robson Street, one of the busiest shopping districts in Vancouver. The area to the south is also a huge plus because you?re a five to ten minute walk from Davie Street where many boutique restaurants are located. However a more centrally located hotel would have been useful for seeing all the sights.
