I had read several reviews before selecting this hotel and I am glad I didn't listen to most of them. Some of the previous reviews stated that the staff was rude and slow. We made it a point to be very cordial with everyone and we had no issue. The staff was very nice and accommodating. We selected the all inclusive package with a bay view room. We had an amazing view of the pools, shore and bay. The room was clean and didn't smell funny. There were a few burnt marks on the carpet but we really didn't care. The only thing we didn't like was the bathroom had a slated door which really didn't provide privacy when you needed to do your business. We were able to overcome that by just running water in the sink. There were quite a few stairs but it wasn't an issue for us. It actually provided a little workout to help work off all the extra calories we were consuming! The bartenders were awesome! We never received a week drink. The only disappointment we had was the quality and type of food served in the restaurants. We expected a variety of seafood selection but the menus were pretty basic - salads, sandwiches, and burgers. The breakfast buffet was good - plenty variety. We did a few activities at the hotel - snorkeling, kayaking, sunset catamaran sail, miniature golf, and the couples massage. The couples massage was out of the world! My husband and I have never been so relaxed. The pool and water concierge was helpful. Though non-waterized equipment is complimentary, the concierge will need your credit card but nothing will be charged if equipment is returned when it is due. All in all a great experience. Definitely a redo!

I have read a lot of reviews that were really negative on this site. This is an Island where everything has to be shipped in except rum, and local fruit and veggies. The Danes brought the rats, and released mongooses who don't hunt when the rodents are active. So Thank God for the cats. They are friendly and don't bother people. This resort is actually pretty nice for the island. It is tough to maintain anything in that environment given the heat and availability of materials. The staff is not rude. It helps if you are nice to them. We had a clean comfortable room, and the food was ok for being on an island. I would not rent a car on the island, and taxis are not too terribly bad. If you do the activities that they provide there is plenty to do. They have a very decent gym and spa for being on an island. The resort is a $*.per person ride from Red Hook and they have a market that sells rum, coke, and drink mix. There are some decent places to eat, and Molly Malone's has a decent breakfast. The ferry to Saint John's is a 20 minute ride. Avoid it at rush hour, but St.John has nice charming shops with people that are not as pushy as Charlotte Amolie. We came back with some good deals on Jewelry and liquor.

The first thing that I didn't like were the cats that hung around your room and around the resort. They don't have alot of activity for you to do, without going outside the resort itself. The food was really overprice and not the best, and it takes a long time for you to get your food. Eat outside the resort. Also catching the $* taxi is the best way to see St Thomas.

Would stay here again. All were very pleasant, nice hotel, and clean room. The only thing is there were not much activities as far as day and night entertainment. Would recommend anyone staying in St. Thomas to get an ALL-Inclusive package. Food can be very expensive, with this package we had no worries on budgetting, well worth it.

The rooms were great with awesome ocean front views. We got married there and the wedding coordinators were great. The biggest downfalls of the hotel is that they stop serving food at 9pm for all-inclusive and 11pm. After 9pm you have to pay cash regardless if you are all-inclusive or not for sandwiches or pizza. There is no food after 11pm and the resort is a long way from any eatery in the area. Also, they need to have more activities during the day and in the evening. Other resorts I have been to have had a lot more entertainment. Be careful, the so-called taxi drivers will try to rip you off by telling you one price at the beginning and changing once they bring you back. You have to be very firm with them.
