We arrived and were checked in right away. This was the best part of the vacation. I traveled with my spouse and three children ages 4, 10 and 16. Hotel advertised as having childrens activities. NOT true, there was nothing for my kids to do. The kids pool was gross. It was always dirty and the water was cloudy. One day I had to ask three times to get some one over to skim the 'crud' from the pool. The food was a bit too eccentric for me. The kids had to get by on cereal for breakfast and dinner and burgers during the day from the snack bar. We needed housekeeping during the night due to a sick child, it took three calls to get someone to respond to our request for services. They advertise non motorized activities included....there aren't any on site. We had to pay for a bus to another hotel about 10 minutes away...This is not convenient at all. The onsite store had little to offer, so we found ourselves at La Isla almost every day. Don't waste your money here, stay elsewhere. My kids were limited to a dirty pool, lack of food and no activities. And the time share sales pitches were constant. I told the same person NO every single day. One NO should have been sufficient.

When I was booking my trip I did extensive research to make sure that I picked a decent hotel. I am glad that I picked this hotel because it was very good for the money. The buffet wasn't excellent but it was good. The pools where clean, the bars where clean, service was excellent. When we first arrived there was a lady who wanted us to sit down and discuss time shares but we politely declined and they left us alone for the rest of the trip. The rooms were good and they were cleaned fairly early. We never had any problems with disturbances or anything of the sort. The location was excellent as well because the bus stop was right outside the hotel maybe a 5 minute walk and the hotel is located across the street from a mall with an ATM. One of the first things that I noticed when we went out to the beach was that there were plenty of beach chairs to sit on! Overall I would go back to this hotel!

Despite the fact that this hotel is small compared to all the other hotels in Cancun, the service of the very friendly staff was wonderful. The entire hotel was very clean and the staff was very friendly. The staff always had a smile and friendly thing to say. The view was amazing. The food was really good, especially in the Italian restuarant at the hotel. We loved our escorts to the clubs, they were amazing!!! Loved being greeted at the door and the door opened for us, even when we were leaving. No hassles, no problems!!! My only suggestion is that the hotel put in a club and keep the pool bars open later than they currently do. As a mother of 5 and this was my 10th anniversary gift from my husband, I couldn't be happier with this hotel. I am a very hard person to please, so, CUDOS to Park Royal! You guys made my vacation wonderful!!!!!

My wife and I have been to the Sandals resort in Jamaica, we have been to the Bahamas, and we have been to the Cayman Islands. This was our first trip to Cancun and we absolutely LOVED it. The Park Royal Cancun was fantastic. It was as nice if not nicer than the Sandals resort in Montego Bay, Jamaica. And the best part about it is that it only cost 1/3 of the price compared to the Sandals Resort. The resort was one of the cleanest we have ever been to. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The bar tenders did not just serve you drinks but they would get to know you and by the end of the trip we knew their first names and they knew ours. The view of the ocean was the best view we have ever seen as the adult pool sits about 20 feet above the beach and you can sit in lounge chairs and look out over the ocean, be right next to the pool, and close to the bar to get drinks. The Italian restaurant was delicious. The breakfast buffett had a good selection of food from their french toast that had cinnomon sprinkled on it to the chef that would make you omelettes right in front of you, and any eggs any style you like. Lunch was great and dinners were also very good. The snack bar that served hot dogs and hamburgers was ok. The snack bar could use a little help on the food but it was ok and we would grab a burger or hot dog between lunch and dinner to hold us over. Overall it was an awesome trip for a great price. We're are for sure going back. Location very good.
