We enjoyed our stay at Point Pleasant so much a couple of years ago that we just had to go back. Even better this time. Very quiet and peaceful with beautiful views and beaches. Dining is great, but a stop at the grocery store in Red Hook is a good idea, too. Two adults and two children, and we stayed in a one bedroom, with a sofa sleeper, last time. It was fine, but had a full two bedroom this time and it was huge. You really need to rent a Jeep or car and a Jeep with the top down is fun. Taxis are too expensive and there are just too many places to go. After you have seen St Thomas, be sure to take your vehicle on the ferry to St John. Great day with many beautiful and sometimes nearly empty beaches. The sailboat day trips are great. I would recommend the Oh Be Joyful Sailing trip on Sunday afternoon. After an afternoon of sailing and snorkelling, they stop at St John for dinner and come back to Red Hook at sunset. Great experience. .

We rented a one bedroom villa for a week. The view was amazing, enjoyed from an expansive 20 foot long private balcony. We were on the top story. The room itself needed a thorough cleaning. The floors and bathroom were not very clean. The resort came equipped with a kitchenette, but lacked a washcloth, clean sponge, etc. for maintenance. It did however, come with it's own can of Raid to keep the ants away. Maid service was provided a few times throughout the week. The bed was not very comfortable, much like one in a 1-2 star hotel/resort. It is located a walk away from Coki Beach, which was nice, but the closer beach was located in the bay is in front of 2 abandoned and boarded up neighboring resorts. The resort was quiet and peaceful. There are many nature trails to hike, and plan on hiking to get to your room on a regular basis. The resort staff was very friendly. We enjoyed both restaurants, Fungi's and The Agave Terrace (which is pretty expensive, but has great food).

Like a lot of travelers we did our homework and about drove ourselves crazy trying to pick a place to stay in St. Thomas. We were looking for something that didn't have a big resort feel and Point Pleasant was just that. Our room was very large and had a beautiful balcony view of the ocean and even St. John in the distance. The food and beverages were amazing at Fungie's and The Agave Terrace which are both located at the resort. Renting a car was very helpful as Point Pleasant is a little bit of a drive to get from place to place (beach to beach). We had an amazing trip and Point Pleasant made it even better. We will be back! P.S. Make sure you take the path down to Sugar Beach. It is a hidden gem!

I recently visited the USVI and spent time in St. Thomas, St. Croix, and St. John. While in St. Thomas I stayed four nights at the Point Pleasant Resort. My stay at Point Pleasant Resort was more than pleasant. It was positively perfect! My room had an amazing view and was incredibly spacious! Also, having a kitchen was a lovely amenity. The staff was friendly and extremely helpful. The resort is very close to Red Hook and so I was able to get groceries and make dinner in my room as well as venture in to town for a lovely meal at the local restaurants. It was also conveniently located for easy access to the ferry to St. John. I plan to return soon with my family, and when I do, I will be sure to stay at the Point Pleasant Resort!
