We stayed there in January for 6 nights for our honeymoon, and the service was great, the rooms were clean, the food was as good as you can ask for in an all-inclusive, and it was out of the way of the parties you come across in Cabo San Lucas. We are looking into going back there again!

We stayed at the Royal Solaris in Cabo from October 25 thru 31, 09. The resort was extremely clean. We never were pushed by the sales rep for time share purchase. S did tried to sell us timeshare but when we politely said "NO", she did not pushed further and took us directly to the check-in desk. There are two A-la-cart dinner restaurants...Pancho and Marco Polo. Do not forget to make your dinner reservation promptly at 9 AM. The longer you wait, the later your reservation will be. Reservation is REQUIRED for these two restaurants. Our favorite meal is breakfast. I love the watermelon juice. Our favorite dinner restaurant is Marco Polo. The Sicilian beef is outstanding(must try). The restaurant has a good selection of dinner entrees so we get to try different things and don't feel bored. The salmon was also very good. Men must wear long pants(no shorts). This is a three star resort and it exceeded our expectation. We had stayed at 5 stars all inclusive before and didn't expect a lot from this place before we went. We were pleasantly surprised and was very pleased with what this resort has to offered. We give a 5 of 5 on all categories and for a budget shopper like myself, it cannot beat the price. We wished we could have stayed for another week but we are looking forward to go back again very soon. It was one of the most relaxing vacation we've had.

If they would spend as much time as they did on the up keep of the landscaping maybe the interior of the hotel would not be falling apart. When it rained the roof leaked in the lobby and guest area. Our room ceiling fell in the corner during a rain storm and we had to change rooms.The staff were very friendly and helpful. Food was at best OK, but tired of seeing the same food but in different configurations every night. Resturaunts were good but limited on choice of entree's. Hope you like goat milk, because that's all that's offered. Will look elsewhere next visit down there. We cancelled a dinner trip into San Lucas and were never reinbursted after being told so. Watch your money.

This was our third time to visit the Royal Solaris. We won't be going back for the fourth. I am sorry to say that the place is going down hill as far as maintenance is concerned. The ceilings are falling in from lack of roof repair, the plumbing needs to be addressed and rooms need to be updated. We reported our bathroom sink not draining....six times....and it never was fixed. The toilet did not flush properly, water just ran continually. The rooms are in dire need of deep cleaning and air conditioners need to be repaired or replaced. Our first visit in 2007 was great....everything worked, second visit in 2008 we could see some need for tender loving care, and this year, 2009, it was so disappointing to see such a beautiful place in such need for repairs. The outside of the resort is very well maintained, lawns manicured, etc. I am sure the timeshare owners will be very upset when they next visit. The service, as far as food and bar goes, is great. The speciality restaurants are nice and very tasty. The daily breakfast buffet is superb. We will go back to Cabo, just not to Royal Solaris. Such a shame to let such a beautiful facility just rot away.

Sept is the best time of the year for us to go to the Royal Solaris. It's quiet, and their is no getting up early to reserve your pool side lounge chair. Plenty of space. Staff as usual is very friendly to deal with and most accommodating. This is our fifth year at the Royal Solaris and it is like being with family.
