We were on the first floor and had two floods in our room. The hotel is more for spring break kids. They moved us to Oasis Grand Viva which was a really nice hotel. If we return to cancun and stay at an Oasis hotel, you must stay at one that says grand in there name.

The food is ok The rooms our fine...... not really but stayable. The booze and the sun is why you go. We booked this one week before leaving at it was $* per person including the flight and the all inclusive. So if the flight from chicago is about $* buying solo. So you're paying $* bucks a night. The overall crowd is rougher then most sports.......think small midwestern towns, older ladies who should be wearing more to cover up and college kids.

My stay was enjoyable, the room was nicely appointed. The only downside was that there was a high-pressure sale to "upgrade" my room upon arrival for an additional $* a night. At first it was to put me in a better building, but afterwards it became clear that the main building didn't have functioning air conditioning so they wouldn;t have put me in that building anyway. Also they said that I could use the mini bar free of charge which was sparsely filled and room service which very few use anyway because of all the food everywhere. The only other disappointment was the gym, with essentially two working pieces of equipment (eliptical and bike machine). The pools were excellent, the food good and the crowds were managable. I would recommend it to others.

I would never stay @ this Hotel again. The Air Conditioning did not work in the Rooms. I heard so many people complaining about it definately was not just our Groups issue. My Room smelled really bad.. When I arrived home I had to keep my luggage outside because of the smell and finally after washing all of my clothing 5 times got rid of it. Most of the Staff was rude and it seemed that you were putting them out if you asked for something. Food was not very good either poor to moderate at best. I am not typically a person to complain and pretty easy to please but this was the worst experience @ a Hotel that I have ever had. I was in Cancun 7 Months earlier Stayed @ the Royal Solaris.. I am definately going back to the Solaris again they made the Vacation Amazing.
