We could not go far for Spring Break soo we drove 30 miles to Dallas to spend the night. We felt like celebraties from check in to check out. The Craft restaurant was fabulous for dinner also. The staff was top notch in all directions. The room was different and fun. It reminded me of the old Stark Club. My twio girls loved swimming in the infinity pool on the 16th floor. We would go back in a heartbeat.

I stayed at the hotel on Friday 2/13/09. I was greeted professionally by the front desk clerk. When I got to my room, I was really tired so I decided to take a nap. Instead, I was abruptly awaken by a loud music playing. So, I went downstairs and asked to change rooms. The front desk clerk was pleasant enough and switched my room. This room location was peaceful. However, the linen on one of the beds had a stain on it. No problem I thought, I would just sleep in the other bed. When I got ready to leave the next day, I dine in and the staff was very nice and I enjoyed brunch. However, here's where the problem really starts, I got ready to leave the parking lot which is adjacent from the hotel. I called before I checked in, and I inquired how much was parking I was told $10.00. That sounded reasonably fair. I paid going into the parking garage Victory Park. On my way out, I slid my ticket in the slot and I was asked to pay another $10.00. So I thought, this has to be wrong so I went into the hotel and asked to speak to the manager. X (mgr.) greeted me and I explained my situation. He replied, ""I'm sorry but if you would have valet parked, then the cost would have been $24.00. He acted as if that was some consolation to me. He went on to say that there was a basketball game at American Airlines on last night so they may have been collecting $ as you entered into the parking garage. He didn't seem to care that I would be double ding $10.00. Anyway, I will never stay here again!!!!

We stayed here recently during our visit to attend a concert at the nearby House of Blues. The W Hotel, deep in the heart of downtown Dallas, is an amazing place! The hotel design (both its rooms as well as its public areas) is very chic, beautiful, and luxurious. The rooms are medium-sized with sweet flat screen TVs, an ultra-cool bathroom design, and have great views of the city (the upper floors, of course). The hotel's location can't be beat (the American Airlines center is just across the street, and the West End is a couple blocks away). The staff were all extremely friendly and bent over backwards to accomodate us. I HIGHLY recommend this hotel!
