We celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary at Villa La Estancia Nuevo Vallarta. It was the perfect place. We were treated like royalty by all staff at the hotel and in the restaurant. The accomodations and food are 5-star; actually the food and service at La Casona were the best we have ever experienced. The pool is beautiful and clean, and the grounds are immaculately landscaped and maintained. The hotel is very quiet; if you want more action you can go next door to the sister hotel where there is more activity. The staff, from the front desk, to the pool bar, to maintenance and security, to the restaurant were first class and very friendly to visit with. Both chefs at La Casona stopped by to talk with us. The beach is great too infront of the hotel, including staff providing us with boogey boards for surfing waves. Also, a very nice beach for long walks.

My husband and I were looking for an anniversary getaway that wouldn't cost us too much, so I went to work trying to find a nice place for a good price. Villa La Estancia kept popping up,so after looking at the reviews, I decided to go for it. I am SO glad we chose this place. When we checked in, they upgraded us to a larger room without us even asking, then greeted us with fresh towels for our hands while we signed paperwork. Then they escorted us to our beautiful, extremely spacious 1 bedroom, 2 bath room and when we walked in, the view was overwhelming! Right on the waterfront! They then offered to spray the room with essential oils which can relax, or invigorate your senses. This was something we had never experienced in a resort. We truly felt pampered. The place is so quiet and the pool area is just beautiful and everyone so friendly. The pool side service was great. The food at La Parilla pool side grill is wonderful! Gourmet everything! The seafood is better than we had at more expensive restaraunts in town. We met several people from the states by the pool and on the well kept beach and went into town with some of them and feel like we have met some new long term friends. HInt: For happy hour, go to the sister property right next door and enjoy 2 for 1 and watch the beautiful sunset! If you are looking for a very relaxing, peaceful, out of the hub bub of town, it is a drive to get here, but once you're here, you are treated like royalty! I definitely would recommend this resort!

This hotel has great rooms with terrific amenities (marble floors, whirlpool tub, kitchen, large and roomy). The food is excellent. With the exchange rate right now, food was very reasonable in terms of price. We spent around $300 for 3 people for 7 different meals. Pool is great, hotel is right on the ocean, every room has a nice view. There were some dips in service (some long wait times for a waiter, room service absent), but some of this was due to our habits. I learned that if we shut the shades in the kitchen near the entrance, the staff would not come in to turn down the beds. So if you want evening service, leave the front shades open. Otherwise, staff was very friendly and helpful. This hotel has a spa and exercise facility. The restaurants have great food, but limited choices for someone who is a vegetarian (like our daughter). You can also use the restaurant at the Flamingos, but there are few other options in the area. Bucerias is not too far and affords more eating options. If your looking for a nice hotel and an opportunity to relax at a moderate price, this hotel is a wonderful option. I plan to go again in the future. The timeshare and partial owner pressures were not that bad at the hotel, but you run into someone trying to sell you something almost anywhere you go.
