This has been the worst hotel i've stayed in my whole life, our room was in a basement, and to get there we had to pass thru a service area with a filthy smell, upon checkin the information provided by the clerk was inacurate about the "timeshare tour". and they never informed us that there is no housekeeping inlcuded on the rate, the hotel personel always appologized by all the problem but did not do anything to make me feel better about it. please dont come to this place, i thought that the bad things would only happen to other people...

The experience was wonderful from beginning to end. This place was as advertised. My family and I came to Orange Lake Resort to celebreate my daughters 10th Birthday. We wanted to find a place that accomodated all our needs on location and this place was above and beyond that. The check in was a little slow but the customer service was great. The room was very nice, it was a 2 bedroom 2 bath suite with a jacuzzi tub, washer and dryer, huge full kitchen, dining area and a huge patio. The room was on one of golf courses with a beautiful view. The kids including my wife and myself really enjoed River Island that's where the Lazy River, slides, and pool areas were. The have 3 arcades and we enjoyed the larger one nears the pools where you check in at. The property has 10 pools and we made it to 4 of them. They were all nice and clean. The property was well maintained. The golf courses were immaculate. We all had a wonderful time and would definitely go back to do some things we didn't have time to do this time . They were also very accomodating. The check out time is at 10 am. I knew it would be rough for us to make a 10 am check out because there is so much to do and we were up very late each night trying to take it all in because we were there for only 3 days and 2 nights. With this in mind I requested a late check out and they were very helpful and gave me a courtesy checkout of 12pm. Those 2 hours made a big difference and actually allowed us to get up and enjoy the facilities a little more. "Beautiful".

Holiday Inn Orange Lake Resort was a great vacation. We spent 3 full days with 14 and 12 year olds and there was plenty to keep them occupied. 2br villa was beautiful, pools were fun, 9 hole golf fun for beginners and kids, Did not go on time share tour, because based on other reviews and people we spoke with it lasts about 2 1/2 hrs. Check your receipts from purchases on the property, they have coupons for discounts within the resort.

Check in took an hour and all they wanted to talk about was selling me time shares and discount disney tickets. Our family had been traveling for over 14 hours and all we wanted to do was get to our room and it was obvious it wasn't happening. After telling the lady at check in we weren't interested, she continued with her selling speech. We had to get a manger involved just to get our room key. The next morning we were woken by a staff member calling and asking if we wanted to buy a time share. The next day we were called again. Now, 3 weeks later, the biggest problem is trying to get our deposit refunded for using a debit card. The resort debited my card at check in and said it would be returned within 5 business days. 13 business days later and several calls to the resort ....we still can't get our deposit back. They actually debit your account instead of putting a hold on the money. You had to drive to do anything, and yes, you had to pay for the intertubes.

This Resort was a disappointment. We were a family on a budget and prepaid for our vacation. They only had two people checking in non-timeshare guests. I was next in line and it took 20 minutes to get called up. I prepaid my trip but at check-in they REQUIRED a additional $ to cover any incidentals and you are suoposed to use your room key like a credit card around the resort. You almost have to do this because most of the restaurants do not accept cash. If you are military watch out they will not volunteer miltary discounts on Theme Park tickets, They tried to sell me tickets to Disney and Sea World when both were free to military. The T.V. would not show a picture and I called at 5PM, 6PM, 7PM, 8PM, and when to bed at 9PM, maintenance got us all up at 10PM. Missing towel holders in bathroom. Maid service costs extra. Fire alarm went of and all the rooms had to be evacuated (I counted 3 pump trucks, to ladder trucks, and three ambulances) in the middle of the night.
